Burning Mine Espresso

Forged by the pioneering spirit of the early West Coast miners, Kawatiri’s special roast is hand-blended for taste, aroma and lush crema. Wonderful as an espresso, but an excellent plunger or drip coffee as well.

We roast our coffee over open flame on the Wild West coast of the South Island of New Zealand. Located high on a bluff overlooking the Tasman Sea, Kawatiri Coffee roasts in some of the world's cleanest air, no freaky chemicals, no industrial pollutants--all you get is fresh, delicious open-flame roasted coffee.

Home Compostable Bulk Bags Our coffee range from 1kg-3kg will in the nearest future be fully home compostable. Any orders of 3kg bags are guaranteed fully home compostable already.

Please bear in mind that we are in a transition mode and we will use our old packaging stock until we run out (so we don’t waste anything!)
